“Poland’s role in NATO’s collective defense is crucial, said Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, commenting on the Warsaw meeting with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Poland plays a key role in supporting Ukraine’s fight for freedom
Kallas wrote on Twitter.
However, there is still a long way to go, Russian aggression is not just a European affair or a ‘regional conflict’; at stake is the existence of the state
– noted the Estonian Prime Minister.
Kallas visited Ukraine on Monday; it was her first trip abroad since Estonia’s new government was sworn in last week. On her second foreign visit, she went to Warsaw, where she met Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on Tuesday. The Prime Minister of Estonia will also participate in a discussion organized at the College of Europe in Natolin.
Estonia’s gratitude
During the meeting of the Prime Ministers of Poland and Estonia, the following topics were discussed: regional security issues, preparations for the July NATO summit in Vilnius and bilateral cooperation, including in the defense sector.
We cannot allow Russia to restore a sphere of influence where decisions are made by the strongest. Living with an international pariah requires NATO troops to be skilled and strong
Kallas called.
Polish planes help defend our airspace, Polish soldiers take part in our military exercises. As a breakthrough for both bilateral cooperation and security in the region, we jointly procured portable anti-aircraft missile systems
– wrote the prime minister of Estonia.
