The President of Greece, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, dissolved the country’s parliament in connection with the next elections. DEA News.

In the statement made by the government, “We call the assembly formed as a result of the elections to a meeting on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00.”

National parliamentary elections are scheduled for 31 May. At the same time, deputies will be sworn in on June 1, and the head of the legislature will be elected on June 2.

Former Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis discussed To President Katerina Sakellaropoul with a request to dissolve parliament on the eve of the end of the government’s mandate and to hold parliamentary elections on 21 May.

Expressing that he hopes the upcoming election period will be calm, the Greek President approved the Prime Minister’s request.
