“They admit: well, some things have been taken care of, but under all this a bomb is ticking and in a moment we will explode, because there was some money, and they spent it all, gave it away, and now the meatball. Well, I wanted to assure you that this is complete nonsense,” PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński said in Janów Lubelski.
“In terms of inflation, we didn’t make it.”
During a meeting with the residents of Janów Lubelski, the president of PiS, Jarosław Kaczyński, said, among other things: about the economic situation in Poland.
At the moment the deficit is being reduced and there are no serious threats unless a giant global crisis were to come at the moment it seems that the world is slowly recovering from this crisis with difficulty
he said.
He noted that those in power kept their promises, but admitted that setbacks such as covid, war in Ukraine and inflation followed.
In terms of inflation, we didn’t make it
– He admitted.
Well, we had a well-thought-out policy to get out of inflation in a way that would not lead to unemployment, to a crisis, to ending the mechanism of economic decline
he said.
We have avoided it and let’s hope that inflation will come down every month now and we will somehow get out of it and not lead to a crisis
– he said.
“We’re not a perfect authority, but we’ll make it.”
He emphasized that it was a good and well thought-out policy.
We protected people, also with various tax cuts, all surcharges, (…) and today we are about to say that we succeeded, because if what virtually all economists predict today, that things will get better every month, then we can say that we succeeded
he assessed.
It can be said that we are not an ideal authority, but we will manage
– added.
The president also admitted that not everything has been achieved yet by those in power in social projects, eg in terms of housing.
We don’t hide it, they say they are perfect, amazing, brilliant
He was talking about political opponents.
We are not saying this, but we will make amends and we will – I hope – convince more and more Poles that this story, which gives our opponents a lot of support in Poland, is nonsense
– he said.
“The bomb is ticking, we’re about to explode”
He added that this story has two variants: “the one for the dumbest and the one for the slightly smarter.”
The one for the dumbest says this: Poland is a ruin, everything is falling apart, it’s over, everyone can see it. There is a type of people who – if they believe the TV, and you know what TV it is – would announce today that it’s a cold, cloudy, wet day, they would dress warmly, bring umbrellas
– he said, emphasizing that “anything can be said to such people”.
But there are those who have a little more sense and that tells a different story. And it often works. Of course they don’t say what I say, but they admit something: well, yes, some things are settled, but under all this a bomb is ticking and we explode like this, because there was some money, and they spent it all, spent it gone, and now the meatball
continued the chairman.
Well, I wanted to assure you that this is complete nonsense
he said.
The part about the ticking bomb is around the 34th minute. this recording
