The head of the New People party, Alexei Nechaev, told socialbites.ca that Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky did not take the sanctions imposed today on the five political blocs in the State Duma seriously.
“Spring seems like a bureaucratic escalation. There is nothing to seriously discuss here,” said Nechaev.
Earlier it was learned that Zelensky signed a decree with the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation on new sanctions against the parties United Russia, LDPR, Communist Party, Fair Russia – For Truth and New People. In total, Ukraine’s new sanctions affected 40 people and more than 300 legal entities. They provide transaction and operation prohibition as well as blocking of assets. The sanctions are applied for ten years.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has repeatedly described the implementation of sanctions imposed by Ukraine and Western countries as illegitimate and illegal.
