We must save food and production security, PSL president Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said on Saturday. He pleaded to vote for this party, because it guarantees cheap, Polish, good and healthy food.
Kosiniak-Kamysz: “We have a comprehensive plan for the Polish countryside”
We have to save food security, production security
– said PSL Chairman Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Saturday in Janowiczki in Racławice Municipality (Lesser Poland) after the meeting of the main council of the party.
As he said, farms like the one in Janowiczki, where the meeting took place, are operating under difficult conditions. Despite this, they focus on modernization and renewable energy sources. The two “strong legs” of Polish farms are – as the head of the peasant party judged – food production and the production of cheap green energy.
According to him, stabilization of agricultural income is necessary. This can help support loan repayments that are high due to inflation. According to the chairman of PSL, the bureaucratic procedures for obtaining subsidies for farmers should also be simplified. The supporters of the people want farmers to become shareholders in companies that process and sell food.
We have a comprehensive plan for the Polish countryside
– said Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Why PSL? Why vote for PSL? To have cheap, Polish, good, wholesome food
– he argued, emphasizing that the party has experience, is professionals and combines tradition with modernity.
“We have summoned Commissioner Wojciechowski”
The head of the People’s Party criticized the government for the influx of millions of tons of grain from Ukraine, pointing out that PSL had warned about this. On July 15, the party introduced a bill to introduce a deposit system.
We have called on Commissioner Wojciechowski, the Minister of Agriculture in Poland, to take action, designate a port, introduce deposits, check trucks crossing the Polish border
– described Kosiniak-Kamysz.
As reported, the head of the Association of Polish Fruit Growers, Member of Parliament Mirosław Maliszewski, indicates that processing companies will not buy soft fruits such as raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, because they have full warehouses of frozen fruits bought from Ukraine.
It also entered Poland unchecked
– said the president of the PSL.
The party expects EU Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski to immediately make intervention purchases of grain for African countries in need. PSL criticizes the commissioner for wanting to turn the Polish countryside into an “open-air museum”, according to Kosiniak-Kamysz.
We ask for your support. A strong popular, national, European party is needed. It’s PSL
said the chairman of the group.
Battle of Racławice
Among other things, he also ruled that the ruling camp was dividing the Poles.
The peasant movement refers to the Battle of Racławice (1794) as an example of brotherhood, cooperation, the fact that we win when we can work together
– said the head of the People’s Party, referring to the meeting place of the main council of the PSL.
