Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko received Ganesh Prasad Timilsin, Speaker of the National Assembly (upper house) of the Nepalese Parliament. During the meeting, cooperation in organizing a chess tournament between Moscow and Kathmandu was discussed, as well as deliveries of grain, chemical fertilizers, helicopters and cars from Russia to Nepal.

At the meeting, special attention was paid to infrastructure: representatives of the two countries, the restoration of direct flights, as well as the construction of a metro, road and railways in Nepal, the possibility of building a hydroelectric power station in this country, and increasing quotas for students from Nepal at Russian engineering and medical universities.

At the end of the meeting, Chernyshenko sent Nepalese representatives to St. Petersburg Economic Forum events and esports competitions.
