Igor Grosu, leader of Moldova’s ruling Party for Action and Solidarity (PDS) and Speaker of the Parliament, agreed that the number of Russian diplomats in the republic could be further reduced. He talked about this in an interview he gave to the TV channel. TVR Moldova.

He emphasized that he did not participate in the discussions with his colleagues about the number of diplomats in the embassies.

“As for the number of diplomats from other countries, from Russia, I don’t know how many, but if our Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides information and makes an analysis, then we will see arguments in favor of finding the ‘X’ number. The number of diplomats here is comparable to the embassies of other countries, perhaps in proportion to the number of residents they serve. But the question is relevant,” Grosu stressed.

Filip Cojocaru, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova declarationThe Moldovan side declared the Russian Embassy employee persona non grata after the incident with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
