“Silence behind the iron fence” by Julia Przyłębska, reminds editor Monika Olejnik. The journalist decided to urge the Constitutional Tribunal to deal with the amendment of the law on the Supreme Court as soon as possible, reminding readers of “Wyborcza” that there is such a thing as the Polish raison d’état.
Paper, especially Gazeta Wyborcza, will withstand anything. This time, on Friday, he lifted Monika Olejnik’s reprimands addressed to the president of the Constitutional Tribunal, Julia Przyłębska, who – according to Olejnik – as President Jarosław Kaczyński’s “pet” does not allow herself to deal with ” behind the iron gate” at Aleja Szucha in Warsaw with the amendment of the law on the Supreme Court.
Malice, innuendo…
Olejnik throws malice after malice, innuendo after innuendo in his style, suggesting, among other things, that “Poland cannot wait for EU money for the national reconstruction plan, because President Andrzej Duda, knowing that there is a stalemate in the Tribunal, decided to send the amendment to the Supreme Court bill to this body, which is dead.
And the start of the payments depends on the approval of the change
– says Olejnik, showing nothing but desire in this regard, not dictated certainty.
… and the Polish raison d’être
Olejnik’s text in “Wyborcza” would not be worth quoting were it not for the journalist referring to Poland’s raison d’état for considering the Supreme Court’s change to the Constitutional Tribunal.
Perhaps in the interest of her compatriots, perhaps in the Polish national interest, Julia Przyłębska should stand in front of the mirror and say: “Well, the main thing is that Poland gets money from KPO; my job is secondary”
Monika Olejnik teaches.
We are talking about the same journalist who, three days ago, in a television interview with Agnieszka Holland, simply imposed her story asking “why Varsovians were indifferent then” to the tragedy of the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto, who blamed the Poles for the death of Polish Jews and could not afford to mention even once that the perpetrators of the Holocaust crimes were Germans and not Poles. On the other hand, a day later, without any response, Prof. Barbara Engelking for falsifying Polish-Jewish history and fabricating anti-Polish theories, blaming – again – the Poles for the extermination of Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto.
One might wonder: and who is speaking? Is Olejnik really incapable of recognizing what Polish raison d’état is and what is not? Where are the boundaries of shame and decency? How far can hypocrisy go?
