Zelensky signed the law on the Ukrainian language test for citizenship

The Verkhovna Rada reported that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law ordering to pass the examination of knowledge of the Ukrainian language, history and constitution in order to obtain citizenship of the country. This is stated on the Parliament’s website.

According to the new law, those who want to obtain Ukrainian citizenship will also have to submit documents confirming that they have passed the exams to the relevant state institutions.

In this case, the exam can be passed within two years of obtaining citizenship. Otherwise, the person is deprived of it.
