Pistorius: Ukraine’s NATO membership no longer part of alliance discussions

The head of the German Defense Ministry, Boris Pistorius, said that Ukraine’s entry into NATO is not currently part of the discussion within the alliance. It has been reported TASS.

“Germany has never criticized the issue of Ukraine’s accession to NATO, we just stated that now is not the time to discuss it,” Pistorius said.

He stressed that all members of the North Atlantic Alliance adhere to this position and all see Ukraine as a future NATO partner, but before that there is still a certain way to go.
