Donald Tusk called on his supporters to march on June 4. Marta Lempart, known for her “culture”, announced her participation in the event. Dorota Łosiewicz asked Krzysztof Śmiszek, MP from the left, on the wPolsce.pl television broadcast. The politician also received questions about inflation.
Left on Tusk’s march?
What is Krzysztof Śmiszek up to on Sunday 4 June? The politician said his presence at Tusk’s march is questionable.
I probably know what I’m going to do on June 3rd – I’ll be in Wrocław for the Equality March, a celebration of tolerance and acceptance of diversity. And on June 4, I may return to Warsaw and – perhaps – go on a march organized by the widely understood PO. I will see
said Smiszek.
Asked if voters from the left would take part in the event, the politician said some probably will, but the opposition needs to show they can unite and “take over the government from Law and Justice”.
I think some will be. The elections are approaching, this is the last leg before the elections, when political parties – both those of the right and those of the progressive, progressive side, begin to fight at full blast. I will say something like this: any initiative on the opposition side that can show us our unity and diversity, yet cooperation, is good. Before June 4, there is also June 3, which I mentioned, but there is also May 1, where the left, together with the trade unions, organizes, as usual, a march, march, walk in defense of workers’ rights, against high prices, inflation , which the PiS government has given us. I think we should show up at every event, even if it is organized by someone else, to show that we are open to cooperation not only before the elections, but also after the elections, when we have to take over the government from Law and Justice
said the MP.

Inflation solely by PiS?
Dorota Łosiewicz asked Śmiszek who was responsible for inflation in the European Union and the United States.
Of course there are some objective and some external factors, but I believe that this level of inflation, high prices, much higher than we expected, was caused by the failure of the PiS government
continued the politician. According to Śmiszek, inflation in Poland would be lower if we got money from KPO, which is meant for investment. When asked how much lower inflation could be if these funds went to Poland, Śmiszek replied:
In our calculations, that is about 3-4 percent. This, of course, translates into significant savings, or some savings, for Poland’s poorest residents. I believe that this inflation rate would be even lower if there was money from the EU to collapse the Polish government, but inflation would also be lower if it weren’t for the greedy Orlen and other energy companies. Too high margins cause only one thing – energy companies and Orlen are happy, because – as we read – it has record profits in recent years, the state budget is happy, because the dividend from the companies goes to the budget and PiS will be able to announce other programs
– the MP from the left was feverish.
Scandal! After all, a state-owned company makes money!
Dorota Łosiewicz intervened.
It is true that the MP agreed with Dorota Łosiewicz that inflation is a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and Putin’s attack on Ukraine, but …
Inflation could be lower if not for the failure of the Polish government and the theft of the Polish government. Because if someone owns a company like Orlen or lets other companies and drivers loot, and then people are told everything is “ok”, I disagree. The government prides itself on having more revenue, but all those who travel by car and refuel in an unauthorized and thieving, robbery way have dumped on this higher income
he continued his speech.
Digging is not okay.
When asked if Tusk is organizing a march because he doesn’t want to talk to the opposition, but settle everything by force, Śmiszek said:
I am in favor of not dragging things out that should remain in the political kitchen. (…) The opposition is diverse. Gone are the days when we should all have the same opinion and march behind one leader. (…) I have one appeal to the opposition: squeezing is okay, but kicking is not okay, I mean, competition is healthy. It is not the intention that different parties become one. We will always be different
he pointed it out.
The program also included questions such as: for a joint opposition list and for Donald Tusk to be replaced by Rafał Trzaskowski. More on TV wPolsce.pl.
