The Head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Oleksiy Reznikov, said that the Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems were delivered to the territory of Ukraine. According to him, the army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “as quickly as they could” mastered the control of Western air defense systems.
“As Patriot air defense systems arrive in Ukraine, our beautiful Ukrainian skies are protected even more,” Reznikov said on Twitter.
As noted by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, he is grateful to Germany, including its German counterpart Boris Pistorius and the head of the Dutch Ministry of Defense Kaisi Ollongren, for the supply of air defense systems. He also emphasized that he expressed his gratitude to the peoples of the USA, Germany and the Netherlands who helped with these weapons.
Before the German government announced on the delivery of Patriot air defense systems and missiles to Ukraine in a weekly report on the military aid sent and planned. As noted, Berlin delivered 16 Zetros trucks and two vehicles to Kiev for border service, along with air defense systems.
