The administration of US President Joe Biden denies that the country is waging a proxy war with Russia, but previously leaked US intelligence data shows the extent to which the US is involved in the conflict in Ukraine. The newspaper writes about it Washington Post.
According to him, dozens of images appeared on the network, “many of which contain classified assessments of the US military and intelligence services.” As the publication says, these data show how deeply the United States was “involved in nearly every aspect of the war, apart from the actions of American troops” in Ukraine.
As the publication points out, maps used by US intelligence show “troop placement, battle plans and possible consequences on the battlefield down to the smallest cities”, as well as the strength and position of the defense of the Russian forces. In addition, the material states that the United States has documents with data on the weapons systems used on both sides of the conflict, as well as estimates of the losses of the parties.
“Leaked documents confirm in detail that the United States uses a wide variety of espionage and surveillance tools, including advanced satellites and electronic intelligence, to stay one step ahead of Moscow’s military plans and help (the Ukrainian side) harm Russia.” WP reports.
However, the Biden administration categorically rejects the thesis of a proxy war with the Russian Federation, saying that Kiev is “fighting for survival” and that the war in Ukraine is a defensive war.
This may be true, but the (United States) administration has provided Ukraine with more than $40 billion in military and economic aid.
Former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Green statedThe United States should not finance a proxy war with the Russian Federation, but should support peace in Ukraine.
