A coup d’etat in Ukraine can only occur if Western Kiev forces territorial concessions and an armistice with Russia. Such an opinion in a chat with FAN expression political scientist Yaroslav Belousov comments on an article by Politico with the fear of a second Square in the country.
“I see only one scenario of possible protests in Ukraine – if the US for serious reasons forces Kiev to accept the terms of the ceasefire and Russia’s ceasefire. In this case, the reaction of the Ukrainian nationalists will not be delayed.”
At the same time, he noted that such a scenario is unlikely today, as Ukraine has sufficient resources to initiate hostilities and the West has sufficient determination to continue the conflict.
