As the left, we will appear at the march on June 4; this is the time of the victory of solidarity, freedom and democracy – announces Robert Biedroń. Today this is not our main interest – emphasizes Dariusz Klimczak (PSL). The march is an OP event; Poland 2050 will not go to events of other parties – says Paulina Hennig-Kloska.
PO head Donald Tusk on Saturday called on “everyone to march in Warsaw at noon on June 4”. In a tweet, Tusk announced that the march is “against high prices, theft and lies, for free elections and a democratic, European Poland”.
The left side will appear on Tusk’s march
When asked about his group’s participation in this march, New Left co-chair Robert Biedroń noted in an interview with PAP that “June 4 is a very important date for all democrats in Poland.”
This is the time of the victory of solidarity, freedom and democracy
– added.
Of course, as the left, we will appear on the march to demonstrate together, as diverse democratic forces, cooperation and the sense of restoration of a free, united and progressive Poland. Poland that we carry in our hearts
stated the MEP.
At the same time, we invite Donald Tusk to the Labor Day march on May 1. It is organized by the Left together with trade unions and workers’ organisations. We welcome anyone who wants to stop high prices and guarantee good jobs
said Biedron.
“But the reality is different”
The PSL’s vice-president, MP Dariusz Klimczak, pointed out that “if marches could solve problems related to high prices, theft and lies, that would be great”.
But the reality is different
he noticed.
First of all, you have to work hard, which the president of PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, does every day when he meets Poland
– added the PSL politician.
According to him, “we will not change the fundamental problems of the Poles by marching”.
Today we solve the real problems of the Poles related to the uncontrolled import of grain from Ukraine. We have a special team that acts as an investigative committee. Today we are engaged in solving Poland’s real problems, and we are not thinking about marches
said Klimczak.
He added that June 4 is still a long way off.
We’ll see what we do then. This is not our main focus today
– emphasized the vice president of the PSL.
“Different things can happen”
The chairwoman of the Polish parliamentary group 2050, Paulina Hennig-Kloska, pointed out that the march is “an event of the Civic Platform”. As she noted, “Poland 2050 is not supposed to go to party events of other political parties.”
June 4 is undoubtedly an important day for Poland and on this occasion Szymon Hołownia and our politicians will also be involved in various events in Poland
emphasized the MP.
We’ve had our schedule for a long time, we’re going to implement it and the date of June 4 is already quite full
she noted.
Asked about the possible individual participation of Polish politicians 2050 in the march announced by Tusk, Hennig-Kloska replied: “If our Warsaw activists or supporters want to participate in the Civic Platform march, they will of course be able to do so and we will not instruct anyone here “. The MP pointed out that “June 4th is still a long way off and several things can still happen.”
