“You can see that all the possibilities placed in Donald Tusk are a thing of the past,” said Olga Semeniuk-Patkowska on wPolsce.pl television.
The deputy minister of development and technology commented on the appointment of a committee on Russian influence. She also referred to the allegations against PiS.
The repertoire played with Moscow is that of 2010, when the Smolensk tragedy happened and when the PO government decided to amend the Chicago Convention, especially Annex 13, and transfer the Polish cause to foreigners. This is when this celebration and sympathizing with Moscow on the PO side took place. These days, as Law and Justice, there’s no way we need to take Tusk out. Tusk is eliminated from the Civic Platform by his competitors. Rafał Trzaskowski or Grzegorz Schetyna with its surroundings. You see that all possibilities that were placed in Donald Tusk are a thing of the past
she said.
When asked about Donald Tusk’s initiative to organize a march in Warsaw on June 4, she replied:
This is another lesson that Donald Tusk has not learned, which is the belief that Polish society is incapable of analyzing and drawing conclusions.
Street and abroad
The street is used all the time and will be used more and more brutally. I often call on civil society groups not to get caught up in this struggle. (…) On the other hand, this foreign country loses its magic a bit, if only because of the context of farmers. We already have the first signals from Brussels that there will be no uniform aid program, that Poland is breaking free, that Poland is standing up for the interests of farmers and Polish society. Poland is for this and Poland is for protection. When they are harmed, whether socially or economically, the Law and Justice government must respond quickly to these problems. Here you see that Donald Tusk, apart from the fact that for years in Brussels he has not proven to represent the interests of Poland, also shows in Poland that he will not bring any topic related to pro-social policy for example
– said Semeniuk-Patkowska.
Another topic was the question of suspending imports of Ukrainian grain to Poland and compliance with EU law with this decision.
We are in constant contact with the EC, but please do not forget the supremacy of national law over European law. During the last year of the war, no uniform energy package with all member states and no agricultural package was established in Brussels. The implementing regulation signed in March obliges the EC to pay 30 million. euros for Polish farmers. This is a drop in the ocean of needs. Nor has a system been set up that would enable front-line countries receiving grain from Ukraine to transfer it further to African countries, for example. This is a global problem, but also a European problem, which we find ourselves in today, and for which there is no panacea to solve. Hence the three-component shield for farmers announced by President Jarosław Kaczyński. (…) We, as the Polish government, must take care of Polish citizens, including Polish farmers. Hence the announcement of this embargo. I hope that Brussels and the Member States will sit down again to negotiate this very serious problem, because the grain problem is one of many, in addition to the energy and economy that are functioning today, that today form the most important common denominator for Europe and the whole world to get out of crisis war
– said the deputy minister of development and technology.
