Latvia bans entry of 10 Russians in connection with the Kara-Murza case

Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics said that the Baltic republic has banned the entry of ten citizens of the Russian Federation in connection with the case of opposition Russian politician Vladimir Kara-Murza (known as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation). “I have decided to ban 10 Russian citizens involved in this fictitious case from entering Latvia,” said Rinkevics.

The head of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also proposed the imposition of additional sanctions on Russia in connection with the decision of the Kara-Murze court.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during a briefing refused to comment on the prison sentence that the court convicted Kara-Murza.

Moscow City Court prisoner Kara-Murza was sentenced to 25 years in a strict regime colony for treason, joining undesirable organizations and spreading lies about the Russian army.
