The official celebration of the 13th anniversary of the Smolensk disaster, this year postponed to April 16 due to Easter holidays, has not become an opportunity for everyone to lay flowers at the monument to the victims or even for a moment of quiet reflection.
Member of the European Parliament Adam Szejnfeld decided to “praise” his contempt for the political camp, which lost the largest number of its prominent representatives as a result of the tragedy of April 10, 2010.
A politician representing the current opposition in Poland was apparently not happy about postponing the celebration of the anniversary of the Smolensk catastrophe to the period after the octave of Christ’s resurrection.
Will this anniversary be celebrated three times this year: April 10, April 16 and… October 10?
he asks, oblivious to the fact that many of his fellow party members were also killed in the April 10 Smolensk crash.
Unfortunately, this national drama and historical tragedy has been played out politically and electorally for 13 years!
– he adds, adding to his entry a photo in which the president of PiS puts candles on the graves of the victims of this national catastrophe.
It is worth asking: who here treats the anniversary of the Smolensk catastrophe as just a political and electoral game. It is also worth comparing this post with today’s recollection of Prof. Wojciech Roszkowski’s main statement in 2010 by Prime Minister Donald Tusk about the Smolensk catastrophe that “the most dangerous thing for Poland is not to think that the Russians did it “. The catastrophe of Smolensk had already been reduced to trivialities by Tusk, and today Szejnfejd alone follows in these footsteps.
