Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has blacklisted more than 80 Russian athletes. Among them are figure skating choreographer Ilya Averbukh, football player Igor Akinfeev and gymnast Artur Dalaloyan. On April 15, on the website of the leader of Ukraine, the decree of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine “On the decision on the application of personal, special, economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)” of April 15, 2023 was published.
The restrictions apply for the next 50 years.
Sanctions were imposed on 87 people, including both active athletes and retired coaches. In addition to the already mentioned Averbukh, Akinfeev and Dalaloyan, the list includes former CSKA goalkeeper and Russian national team Veniamin Mandrykin, football player Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, figure skaters Elizaveta Tuktamysheva and Mark Kondratyuk, tennis player Alexandra Pospelova, volleyball coach Sergei Ovchinnikov. , gymnast Svetlana Khorkina, weightlifter Mikhail Koklyaev, swimmer Anton Chupkov, gymnast Victoria Listunova, skier Veronika Stepanova and others. Kiev also blacklisted the daughter of the head of the triathlon federation of the Russian Federation and Defense Minister Ksenia Shoigu.
All defendants are prohibited from entering the territory of Ukraine. In addition, they cannot do business and acquire real estate, and all current assets (if any) are frozen. In addition, the athletes will be deprived of all Ukrainian awards and titles.
Previously, Kiev had imposed restrictions on the Russians regarding sports: sports commentator Dmitry Guberniev, general producer of Match TV Alexander Tashchin, president of the International Boxing Union Umar Kremlev, and Yana Rudkovskaya, producer and wife of figure skater Evgeny Plushenko, are under sanctions.

The President of Ukraine signed another decree imposing sanctions on 351 individuals and 254 legal entities connected with the Russian IT sector.
The list of companies subject to sanctions includes big technology giants such as Yandex, VK and Rambler. In addition, Gazprom avtomatizatsiya, Gazpromneft-Digital Solutions, Skillbox, Geekbrains and Skyeng training platforms, as well as developers in the cybersecurity InfoWatch and Positive Technologies field, came under restrictions.
Restrictions on legal entities are imposed for a period of ten years. All assets of these companies in Ukraine are blocked and their business licenses in Ukraine are revoked.
On April 1, Zelensky sanctioned 257 Russian and 225 Russian companies for ten years. Later blacklisted members of the blacklist were Senator Daria Lantratova from the LPR, Senator Konstantin Basyuk from the Kherson region and Senator Dmitry Vorona from the Zaporozhye region, his wife Svetlana, and Ilya, son of Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.
