Ukraine accuses Poland of violating agreement after decision to ban grain imports

Ukraine’s agriculture ministry said Poland’s decision to ban imports of grain and some other food products violated an agreement reached in April. Warsaw is taking measures to reduce imports to protect its farmers from competition. It has been reported Bloomberg.

The Ukrainian ministry stressed that they understand that Polish farmers are in a difficult situation, but noted that it is “the most difficult situation for Ukrainian farmers”.

The ministry also offered to prepare a new agreement with the Polish side in the coming days.
