“EU regulations help us in some things and harm us in others, said Agriculture Minister Robert Telus on the program “Gość Wiadomości” (TVP Info).
We want to give money [rolnikom]but we have to follow the rules that the EU gives

The minister indicated which farmers would receive a subsidy for grain sold.
No one will lose. At this time [wprowadzamy termin] from December 15, and we are trying to move this date to December 1 – if the EU allows it, so far (until June 30). They all receive subsidies so that they do not fall below PLN 1,400
he said.
We want to convince the EU that we want to help Ukraine, but the costs of this help cannot be borne by these border countries alone
– emphasized the head of the Ministry of Agriculture.
As he noted:
It is not just about financial aid, although that would of course be useful, but we want to introduce such tools to mobilize companies that import grain, so that they are motivated to continue with this grain or meat.
Measures taken
Robert Telus pointed to the measures already taken by the Polish side.
We’ve blocked everything. (…) The Ukrainian side knows about it. We will continue our talks on Monday. (…) I think an agreement will be reached. We understand Ukraine, Ukraine understands us
he said.
Polish companies did not import Ukrainian grain. These are large international companies that trade grain all over the world, including in Poland
explained the minister.
As he added:
At this time, our border services do not allow products. There is a ban and no transport of agricultural products on the list.
Code for Farmers
The minister referred to the solutions that PiS proposes to farmers.
I mean the Guarantee Fund that farmers have been waiting for for a long time. This fund protects farmers, because the farmer is the weakest link and is very often defrauded. (…) Just like the Bank Guarantee Fund, we want to set up such a fund
he noticed.
There is also a law on grain silos, according to which no permission will be required to build such silos
remembered Robert Telus.
We want to hold one session of the Sejm, but that these topics should be agricultural and we should leave them behind
– added.
As he announced:
There will be a fertilizer subsidy, it will be similar to the one that has been introduced. (…) We are the only country in the EU that has introduced such subsidies.
Referring to the claim that “PiS has an EU Commissioner for Agriculture”, Minister Telus responded:
Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski helps us in many matters, but he is not the one who decides. Let’s help each other, let’s create a group of people, even non-political ones, who don’t want to help the PiS government, not the minister of agriculture, but the Polish farmer,
