Speaking to TV-100, Turkish Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalyn said that Turkey is negotiating with Gazprom on the supply of Russian natural gas and is in favor of diversifying its energy sources.
According to him, negotiations are being conducted by the Botash company.
“There are some negotiations between Botaş and Gazprom and they continue to communicate with everyone to buy natural gas at the lowest price,” Kalina said. Sarkul Evsat.

The Presidency representative also talked about the discovery of a new gas field in the Black Sea. He said that the first gas lighting ceremony will be held in the Filhos region in the coming days and natural gas flow will start to the residents of the region as of May. The diplomat said that the diversification of energy carriers will be supported by the start of gas supply to local consumers from Turkey’s Black Sea fields.
