EU funding for military aid to Ukraine from the Peace Fund reached 4.6 billion euros. Web site Council of Europe.

“Aid accepted today, along with the previous seven tranches of support, brings the total EU aid allocated to Ukraine under the Peace Fund to 4.6 billion euros,” the document states.

Earlier, Latvian President Egils Levits said that NATO and the EU should first consider how to support Ukraine with all the weapons systems it needs, including warplanes.

Levits also admitted that Latvia has no fighters, but according to him, “countries with tanks and fighters should consider this.”

He also said that it is a good sign that the first Leopard tanks have already arrived in Ukraine.
