Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau said that Polish authorities are skeptical of France’s attempts to hold Russia-Ukraine talks to resolve the conflict, according to YahooNews. According to him, Warsaw does not see that Moscow is ready to “reconsider” its steps in Ukraine.
“We are skeptical of French initiatives that will lead to any form of negotiation between Russia and Ukraine. “We do not see any signs that Russia is ready to reconsider its policy,” Rau said.
As the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry stated, the dialogue between Russia and Ukraine cannot give Moscow any “separate guarantees”. He added that according to Warsaw, the negotiations of the parties should be about compliance with international law.
It was previously reported that French President Emmanuel Macron arrived during his visit to Beijing. He insisted Chinese President Xi Jinping will “make sense with Russia” and facilitate negotiations on Ukraine.
