The opposition Communist Party will present a bill to Parliament that would include restrictions on second citizenship for Moldovan first persons. transmits TASS. According to Vladimir Voronin, leader of the Moldovan communists, appropriate restrictions should be imposed on the president, prime minister, representatives of the Cabinet, parliamentarians and heads of law enforcement.
“Political parties advocating the liquidation of the Republic of Moldova should be legally banned and trade unionism should be punished in the criminal code. I plan to propose a ban on second citizenship for first persons of the state – the president, prime minister, speaker of parliament and deputies, ministers, as well as heads of law enforcement agencies ”, the head of the Communist Party announced.
At the same time, dual citizenship with a Romanian passport in Moldova is held directly by the country’s president, Maia Sandu, as well as some representatives of the government and the ruling Action and Solidarity party.
