Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said that the US has not yet allowed the arrival of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s private plane to New York for the April UN events and has not given a visa to the Russian delegation.

According to him, Moscow urges Washington to immediately issue visas to the Russian delegation, as well as to Russian journalists. Their failure to extradite is a “breach of obligation” by the United States as the host country of the United Nations headquarters. The diplomat said this hindered the “smooth and full functioning” of the UN.

He also said that an “incomprehensible situation” had developed around the special board of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“US authorities have yet to agree on the arrival of the aircraft. “We expect the Americans to immediately give permission for the aircraft to fly overhead without any conditions or restrictions,” Antonov said.

He added that there are only a few days left for the event and there is still no certainty.

Former press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov declarationIt was stated that the Kremlin reacted negatively to the fact that the USA, where the UN headquarters was located, did not give a visa to the Russian delegation led by Lavrov.
