The media writes about companies that recently imported grains and maize from Ukraine. The list obtained by the wPolityce.pl portal also includes a potentate in the agricultural market, namely the BZK holding company, with which Polish People’s Party politicians are and have been connected.

BZK Holding and its affiliated BZK Group is one of the largest business institutions in Poland engaged in processing, trading and agricultural production. The group includes such well-known companies as “Bakoma”, “Polskie Młyny” or “Bioagra”. The holding company is also a conglomeration of other companies, in which you can easily find the name of the Komorowski family, including the most famous – Zbigniew Komorowski. This former PSL politician for many years has become a symbol not only of the success of the Polish agricultural industry, but also of his political connections. Currently working at BZK include: Waldemar Pawlak, associated with “Polskie Młyny”, and it was to Zbigniew Komorowski that the former prime minister owed the chairmanship of the Warsaw Commodity Exchange. The list, which was already in the hands of journalists before Easter, included companies affiliated with the BZK holding. The media focused on a few (out of several hundred) companies, but kept silent about the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. In February this year, the wPolityce.pl portal asked BZK about their import policy from the Ukrainian direction. We were confirmed that the holding company imported grain from Ukraine. According to our information and editorial lists of entities, it is mainly corn.
BZK Group companies engaged in processing are based on Polish raw materials. Over the past three years, they used an average of 6 percent. grains imported from Ukraine. Cereal imports constitute a margin of the raw material used for production
– we read in a concise e-mail that was recently sent to our editors from BZK Holding.
We also asked about the import of grain by “Polskie Młyny”.
Please note that Polskie Młyny does not import or use wheat from Ukraine. The company uses the highest quality wheat, produced by Polish farmers, in compliance with current regulations and standards
– we read in response to our questions.
The long list of entities does not include the amount of grains they import. In the case of BZK Groep, we found (in one of the magazines) brief information about 40 wagons of maize.
