Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Oleksiy Goncharenko, said that Vadym Melnyk, director of the country’s Bureau of Economic Security, has been fired from his post. It has been reported DEA News.

“The director of the Ukrainian Bureau of Economic Security, Vadym Melnyk, has been fired,” said the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The publication states that Melnik has served as BEB president since August 2021.

According to Yaroslav Zheleznyak, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the first deputy of Melnyk, Eduard Fedorov, will be appointed acting head of the Bureau. The parliamentarian emphasized that from 2021 to 2022 Fedorov was the deputy head of the Kiev customs office, then the deputy head of the department of the said department. And from 2022 to 2023 he headed the SBU department in the Sumy region.
