Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin said the US Department of Justice has launched a criminal investigation into the leak of classified documents. DEA News.

“The case was referred to the Justice Department, which launched a criminal investigation,” the head of the US defense department told reporters.

Austin added that he first received reports of the leaks on the morning of April 6, and has since called a daily meeting of senior ministry officials to discuss how to respond to the incident.
