State Duma Deputy Yevgeny Markov proposed punishing Russian citizens who abused their right to file complaints with state institutions. This was reported in a letter from the parliamentarian to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov. document available TASS.

Markov argues that numerous applications to government agencies contain false information. He believes that Russians often use complaints to harm other people.

For example, the deputy pointed out that complaints were made against teachers on the grounds of “any word” of the teacher. According to him, this negatively affects the educational process.

The author of the initiative noted that the injured party usually cannot prove that the right to file a complaint has been abused. In this context, Markov announced the preparation of administrative legislation amendments that will create legal liability for similar objections.

In the letter, the MP asked Attorney General Markov to “evaluate the relevance of the proposed legislative initiative and the possibilities for its implementation in practice”.
