The motion for a vote of no confidence in Education and Science Minister Przemysław Czarnek is another political chutzpah from the opposition and will result in nothing but a brawl, PiS deputy spokeswoman Urszula Rusecka said in an interview with PAP. The Sejm is expected to consider the proposal at its meeting starting Wednesday.
The opposition is demanding Czarnek’s resignation
In an interview with PAP, Rusecka PiS referred to the motion of no confidence in Education and Science Minister Przemysław Czarnek, which was tabled by the opposition and which deputies will consider at the Sejm session on Wednesday.
It is the government and the prime minister who determine the cabinet of the council of ministers
Rusecka emphasized. As she recalled, this is a new motion for a vote of no confidence in Czarnek in this parliamentary term.
The opposition – as in that term, so in this term – wants to sack one of the ministers every now and then, but the responsibility for this lies with the government and the group to which the Poles have entrusted the reins
noted the MP.
“political chutzpah”
According to her, “the opposition is not proposing new solutions, it has nothing to offer, it only offers political chutzpah.”
Another vote brings nothing but the brawl they want to cause
Rusecka added.
Opposition MPs – KO, Links, PSL and Poland 2050 – tabled a motion in early February for the Sejm to withdraw confidence in the minister of education and science. The application is the aftermath of the tvn24.pl publication, which describes how money from the MEiN contest went to organizations close to PiS. As the portal pointed out, millions of grants were awarded for the purchase of new chairs, while many educational organizations and educational institutions did not receive a single zloty from the Ministry’s budget.
In response, Czarnek spoke in the Sejm, among other things: about the festival of hatred, rudeness and hatred against the boards of non-governmental organizations that do excellent educational work. Government spokesman Piotr Müller said in early February that he had no doubt that the vote of no confidence against the head of the Ministry of Education and Science would be ineffective and that he was not afraid of the majority issue. He also stated that in the case of the MEiN match, Czarnek gave an explanation in the Sejm that “closed this case”.
