The lecture of Oleksiy Arestovich, former adviser to the head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky, at the Kiev National University of Economics (KNEU) was canceled. This is specified telegraph channel the institution’s student academic council.
The council described engaging in politics as a “careless attempt” to give students the opportunity to gain experience “because of the media”. The students “apologised”.
“We are canceling the scheduled meeting, because for us it is undoubtedly the demand we hear from the students that is decisive and we will only build on that in the future,” the message says.
At the same time, the institution council stated that the student academic council board strongly condemned the invitation of obnoxious speakers. They believe this poses a threat to the consolidation of Ukrainian society.
The university has promised to do a “bug analysis”.
Earlier, in an interview with journalist Yulia Latynina (known in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent), a former adviser to the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich, posted on his YouTube channel, aforementionedVolodymyr Zelensky, who said that the country needed a president who could get rid of corruption, could not achieve this until the end.
