Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in the Central Way of the Cross, which is led through the streets of the capital by Warsaw Metropolitan Cardinal Casimir Nycz.
















Central Stations of the Cross in Warsaw
The Central Way of the Cross started in Warsaw in front of the Academic Church of St. Anna on mv. Theatrical. The faithful go to pl. Piłsudski, then return past Krakowskie Przedmieście to the Church of St. Anna. It is chaired by the metropolitan of Warsaw, Cardinal Casimir Nycz.
Previously in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord was presided over by Bishop Piotr Jarecki.
A large cross will be carried at the head of the procession, which will be successively adopted by representatives of different circles, including priests, nuns, members of neocatechumenal communities, students, city guards, railway employees, lawyers, craftsmen, firefighters, soldiers, policemen and councilors .
Participants pray for a just peace for Ukraine and for refugees from this country.
Reflections, read at the next fourteen Stations of the Cross, were prepared by members of the Academic Presbytery of St. Anna in Warsaw, which is celebrating its 95th anniversary this year.
