Polish Radio sent a request to the deputies’ ethics committee regarding the violation of the rules of parliamentary ethics by Civic Coalition club MP Czesław Mroczek, as reported on Polskie Radio 24’s website.
It is about a discussion that took place during the broadcast “Two Sides” between host Dorota Kania and KO MP Czesław Mroczek. Mroczek then said, among other things: “Do you think that you are on a Polish-funded radio and that you can say such things? After all, we will hold you accountable for what you do, both in this story empire and what you do on Polish radio.

Reaction of the journalist and Polish Radio
Just now on Polish Radio 24, a member of the Civic Platform Party, Czesław Mroczek, threatened to hold me accountable. He and his colleagues. I understand that my colleagues from the PO. The politics of love
Dorota Kania wrote on Twitter.
According to the Polish radio parliament member, Mroczek broke the rules of parliamentary deontology
– listed on the PR24 website. In a letter addressed to the chairman of the deputies’ ethics committee, it was emphasized that “Member of Parliament Mroczek Dorota Kania, who presented the broadcast, clearly and plainly accused her of violating the principles of journalistic integrity, her and the media with which she cooperates (including PRSA) while at the same time uttering words to the lead journalist, which in the opinion of the PRSA should be treated as a threat.
A gross violation of the rules
According to Polish Radio, “taking into account the context of the whole statement, it should be mentioned that MP Czesław Mroczek threatened editor Dorota Kania with depriving her job at PRSA and other media after the political group represented by the MP came to power .”
This is a gross violation of the aforementioned principles of parliamentary ethics, as well as a violation of the fundamental principles of the rule of law and democracy, which are reflected, inter alia, in the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, and with regard to freedom of the press and other means of social communication (Article 14 of the Constitution), which principles – at least in the semantic layer – are close to the political grouping represented by MP Mroczek. All the more incomprehensible and scandalous is the behavior of the Member of Parliament described above and as such must be reviewed and verified by the Members’ Ethics Committee.
