Consell’s president is committed to creating an effective and genuine dual capital in the Valencian Community, where Alicante is the main protagonist. The current regional government has set the Community’s goal of achieving energy autonomy by 2030. Therefore, he suggested mapping the areas specifically mentioned for the installation of renewable energies, a kind of “fast lane” approved by all agencies to achieve a more agile procedure than the current one regarding authorizations.
He also advocated the creation of incentives that allow clean energy to have a direct reward for citizens. To do this, he proposed creating a fund with contributions from renewable energy producers so that municipalities that produce more electricity than their neighbors consume will benefit from a substantial reduction in the bill. The third axis of his proposal is the activation of an ambitious plan to place charging points for electric vehicles while encouraging the purchase of such cars. All with the aim of moving from a community of energy importers to an exporter based on natural resources such as solar and wind.
