Acting New York Supreme Court Judge Juan Mercan has rejected multiple media outlets’ requests to allow the live broadcast of former US President Donald Trump’s trial. This was reported by the TV channel. CNN.

According to CNN, on April 3, the former president’s lawyers urged the judge to reject the media’s request to broadcast live in the courtroom.

In his order, Merchan wrote that the media’s request to publish the indictment against Trump is understandable because the case is of historical significance, never before a current or former president has filed a criminal complaint. But he added that the interests of news organizations in providing the widest possible access to the process must be weighed against “conflicting interests”.

At the same time, the judge authorized the five photographers to shoot “until court personnel ordered them to leave the jury box” at the start of the trial.

Earlier, Trump said in court on April 4: To present Charge 33 times.
