Earlier, Norwegian broadcaster NRK reported that the Finnish flag will be flown at NATO headquarters in Brussels on Tuesday in honor of the country’s entry into the military bloc.

The Secretary General described this week as historic. According to him, on April 4, the Finnish flag will be hoisted at the headquarters in Brussels and the country will become a member of the alliance. This event will be accompanied by a ceremony where Stoltenberg and Finnish President Sauli Niinistö will speak.

On April 4-5, Brussels will host the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member states of the North Atlantic Alliance.

On April 1, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan approved the approval of Finland’s application to join NATO.
