European Foreign Minister Josep Borrell “joked” about handing over the presidency of the UN Security Council to Russia, describing April 1 as a suitable date for it. DEA News.
“The beginning of Russia’s presidency of the UN Security Council is appropriate for April 1. “Despite Russia being a permanent member of the Security Council, it consistently violates the very core of the UN legal framework,” Borrell said.
Russia became minister Security Council for a period of one month on 1 April.
How said Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, said that the main topics of the upcoming meetings will be multipolarity, the solution of the situation in the Middle East and the problem of uncontrolled arms exports. The issue of the Ukraine crisis will also be on the agenda.
