“For almost eight hours we could not ask for our private belongings, laptops, but also clothing that we have in our editorial office. The question, of course, is what is the reason for such banditry methods of the politicians of the Confederation,” said TV Media Narodowe’s Michał Jelonek at a press conference before the Sejm.
An unusual event occurred in the editorial office of Media Narodowe TV. According to the reports of journalists working in it, politicians of the Confederacy broke into newsrooms, did not let employees in for eight hours,
What happened on the night from Monday to Tuesday does not fit into any system or legal order in force in the Republic of Poland. For almost eight hours, the employees of our editorial office and our station were unable to enter the building. The property we rent legally, for which we have documents that we presented to the police who arrived on the scene
says Michael Jelonek
Editorial break-in
For almost eight hours we could not ask for our private belongings, laptops, but also clothing that we have in our editorial office. The question, of course, is what is the reason for such banditry practices committed by the politicians of the Confederacy
asks the journalist.
A few days ago, our editors published information that appeared during an agricultural forum, where an attack took place on Deputy Prime Minister Henryk Kowalczyk, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. This attack was carried out by politicians of the Confederation, in particular Tomasz Buczek, who pretends to be peasants, because one of the leaders of the Confederation in Podkarpacie is not a peasant. He is an entrepreneur who runs his own service, renovation and construction company
says Jelonek.
The question is, why did Confederate politicians invade our newsroom? You might be tempted to say that they were looking on our private laptops for information that would paint this political party – the Confederation Party – in a bad light. Maybe that’s why this whole situation happened – due to the fact that they were looking for this information on our private laptops. This is an absolutely scandalous situation, an unprecedented situation and today, from this place, we are informing the prosecutor’s office about the possibility of a crime being committed by politicians of the Confederacy. I would like to add that the electoral representative of the Confederation, Mr. Witold Tumanowicz, as well as the Member of Parliament of the Confederation, Mr. Michał Urbaniak, were present.
– underlined.
Confederate response
The Confederation politicians reject the allegations of the National Media TV employees, claiming that “a notary was present during the opening of the cabinet committee”. During the incident, a “burglary” allegedly took place in the armored cabinet, which stored documents covered by journalistic secrecy.
A notary was present at the opening of the cabinet. According to the notarial deed, the wardrobe contained, among other things, important documents of the Association “Marsz Niepodległości”. Did they want to hide something by hiding them in Robert Bąkiewicz’s wardrobe “belonging to a private company”?
– wrote Witold Tumanowicz, a Confederate politician, on Twitter.
How to dispose of assets to the detriment of the association as chairman of the SMN? 1. Like Robert Bąkiewicz, you sign proxies on behalf of the association and the company.2. You make a contract with yourself. 3. Profit! In a similar way, you can sell the assets of the association itself
Toemanowicz wrote.
What people like Jelonek, Barełkowski or Kalinowski write are ordinary lies and nonsense. The legally elected current authorities of the association have entered the headquarters of the association “Marsz Niepodległości” and keep an inventory here, and not some mythical confederation …
– wrote Mateusz Marzoch.
The power struggle within the March of Independence association intensifies as parliamentary elections approach. However, it can be assumed that the non-parliamentary means used by some political activists involved in the Independence March dispute will not help to improve standards in the 10th term Sejm.
