“Threats and provocations were made against Azerbaijan from Iranian territory. For example, Iran’s military exercises along the Azerbaijani borders, military flights over the border, anti-Azerbaijani statements by Iranian officials, terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran,” it was said.
Baku also condemned the statements of Nasser Kanani, spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, regarding Azerbaijan’s “anti-Iranian cooperation” with Israel. “Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov did not express any stance against Iran at the press conference he held with the Israeli Foreign Minister. In this regard, we consider this statement of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an anti-Azerbaijani step.”
