“Immediately after we met the prime minister, the Finnish right accused the prime minister and this is a quote: “of wanting to kill Polish children for Finnish money” – explains Nowa Nowa MP Krzysztof Śmiszek in an interview with the Radio Wrocław of the left.
Recently, Robert Biedroń inquired about the possibility of free abortion for Polish women in Finland. Shortly afterwards it turned out that no such agreement had been made at all and the Finnish side renounced it.
We must consider one thing. Now the electoral campaign is underway in Finland and there will be parliamentary elections in a week. By Finnish standards, this campaign is very brutal. The Finns are a very civilized and peaceful nation, but even there emotions reach their peak
Krzysztof Śmiszek notes.
Marine tactical retreat
The New Left MP still insists on the information revealed by Robert Biedroń on Twitter, claiming that the words about the agreement on free abortion for Polish women in Finland were spoken in a meeting with Prime Minister Marin, and New Left and the verdict The Social Democratic Party in Finland started talking about the details of the program. Śmiszek accuses the Finnish right wing of the Helsinki government of evading abortion.
This is true. These words represent 100% what was said during this meeting. I want to finish one more thing. Right after we met the prime minister, the Finnish right wing accused the prime minister and this is a quote: “of wanting to kill Polish children for Finnish money.” So that’s the level of the debate. As a Prime Minister, I am not surprised to have to withstand such embarrassing, absurd attacks today. Our parties, because the delegation I was in was not an official state delegation, because the left in Poland is in the opposition, we agreed that after the elections won by the Social Democrats in Finland, we would come back to these talks and we would continue these conversations
says the Member of Parliament of the New Left.
I also find it shameful and terribly sad that you have to go to another country, to Belgium, Spain or Finland, and ask those governments to give Polish women basic rights that they cannot have in their own country. Today Law and Justice have brought hell to Polish women. Women in Poland are afraid to give birth, women in Poland die for fear of doctors when it comes to termination of pregnancy. So it is really worrying that the opposition should take matters into their own hands and ask other governments to introduce abortions for Polish women abroad. So did the Belgian government. In Belgium, the government provided special money for a special fund for Polish women who flee the anti-abortion regime of PiS to Belgium and there, in Belgium, terminate their pregnancy for free
he adds.
Unreliable platform?
As for Donald Tusk and Civic Platform’s statement that they will try to make changes to liberalize the abortion law in the new term of office of the Sejm, Krzysztof Śmiszek does not hide his skepticism.
I would like to ask the voters, listeners, whether it is credible. We have two proposals on the table: that of the left and that of the POs. The Left, which always tried to liberalize the anti-abortion law when he was in power, and the Platform, which always washed its hands of it. If anything constructive about abortion comes out of this conversation, I would encourage our listeners to do one thing: vote for the left, because the left will guarantee that we will take care of our larger coalition partner in the new government, that these things will be settled once and for all. will be settled forever and that no one will. He will get stuck in the toilet or miss the mood. We will ensure that these statements by Donald Tusk become flesh, not just words
– summarizes Krzysztof Śmiszek.
