“I think Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Warsaw soon; Of course, for security reasons, we will not announce it,” said the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Paweł Jabłoński.
On Tuesday, Jabłoński was asked on Radio Wnet about the possibility of a visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Warsaw.
A visit expected but unannounced
I think it will happen soon, but let’s not get ahead of the facts. We will certainly not announce this visit, as is usually the case with visits by other heads of state. In the case of President Zelensky, such an announcement will not be made for security reasons
replied the Secretary of State. As he emphasized, there are still very intensive contacts between the leaders of Poland and Ukraine.
Discussion on the future of Ukraine
The deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that a very intensive discussion is still going on about the future of Ukraine and its reconstruction after the war, with the participation of the Polish and Ukrainian authorities, as well as with the participation of international organizations and financial institutions such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund or the G7 Group.
These conversations are ongoing – so far we can say they are theoretical, but they are very important. A certain system is being created on the basis of which this mechanism will function, which is also called the Marshall Plan for Ukraine
Jablonski noted
What about Poland’s participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine?
When asked whether Polish companies are willing to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine, the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs replies that Polish companies are very interested in participating in this process.
Meetings are held regularly; Several hundred companies have already signed up for the collaboration platform that we have set up and under which information is exchanged
– added.
Work is underway on a Polish-Ukrainian treaty that will introduce bilateral privileges (…) so that Polish companies and citizens have privileges in Ukraine
Jablonski said. He added that he expected work on the treaty to be completed in the coming months.
