“Instead of scaring the Confederacy, Tusk and the PO should question how far their racing with PiS in giving populism increases the Confederacy’s popularity. Who should people vote for who have free market views and don’t like being treated like idiots?” – writes on his Twitter Prof. Leszek Balcerowicz, economist, former finance minister, former head of the National Bank of Poland.
Leszek Balcerowicz’s increased criticism of Donald Tusk and Civic Platform is gaining momentum. The author of the “shock therapy” of the Polish economy of the 1990s has continuously dealt new, heavy blows to the leader of the Civic Coalition in recent days. What is the difference between politicians who get along well so far? These are Donald Tusk’s election promises on social reform.
Instead of scaring the Confederacy, Tusk and the PO should question how far their racing with PiS in giving populism increases the Confederacy’s popularity. Who should people vote for who have free market views and don’t like being treated like idiots?
Balcerowicz wrote.
The good friendship between Balcerowicz and Tusk has bitter moments. So far we have not associated either gentleman with mutual antagonism and biting. Leszek Balcerowicz is known to be less than enthusiastic about reflecting on the policies he enacted in the 1990s, and Donald Tusk can also find layers of “social sensitivity” for election campaign purposes. The question of how much of the whole is political theater and how many genuine discrepancies remains open.

“It’s finished!” “Gazeta Wyborcza” promotes the inventions of the head of the PO: “Tusk accelerates”; Balcerowicz inserts a pin: “In which direction?”
— Tusk calls on opposition parties to compete with the Confederacy. And it is striking: it is extremely anti-European and anti-Semitic
