“’Wyborcza’ will repeat the citizen survey together with Stichting De Lange Tafel. The variant in which PSL and Hołownia merge will be taken into account, writes Jarosław Kurski in Gazeta Wyborcza.
Opposition victory doubtful?
“The ‘great citizens’ survey’ presented a few days ago by ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ caused great confusion. Many commentators, such as guests of today’s “Salon Journalarski”, question the results and assess that the study is actually an attempt to pressure potential coalition partners of the PO so that the opposition will eventually produce a joint list for the elections to the Sejm. .
It turns out that the journalists of “Gazeta Wyborcza” are also not convinced of the opposition’s victory.
All polls show one thing: there are more voters from the anti-PiS camp than PiS+Konfederacja voters. Recent polls also show that PiS ratings have risen and the opposition takeover is highly questionable
– wrote Dominika Wielowieyska the day before yesterday in “Gazeta Wyborcza”.
In the same text, titled “One expert says the joint list won’t win, another says it does, and the same poll. And be smart, publicist,” the columnist argues that the best chance of winning is an agreement between the leaders of all opposition groups because voters like consistent formations.
“A joint list gives the opposition the agency”
“GW” deputy editor-in-chief Jarosław Kurski announced yesterday that the citizen survey would be repeated.
A joint list empowers the opposition, eliminates the risk of losing subliminal votes, restores faith in victory, eliminates competition in the democratic camp, and ultimately demobilizes voters from power
he states in a text entitled “‘Tenature blackmail’ or last-ditch poll?”.
Kurski seems to regret that anyone dares question the credibility of the citizen survey.
Citizens paid, asked and received the answer. a list. However, not everyone was satisfied with the results. So the questioning of the poll itself began. “Term blackmail”, “Tusk’s manipulation” – they said
– he writes, arguing that the poll is “the most transparent in history” because accurate data has been made available and the methodology has been described, giving anyone the opportunity to calculate the results.
There are apparently other polls that two lists are better. But no one has seen these polls
he tries to be ironic.
Repeat the poll
“Wyborcza” will repeat the citizen survey together with the Long Table Foundation. This takes into account the variant in which PSL and Hołownia merge
– announces the deputy editor-in-chief of “Wyborcza”, who further gives arguments for one list in points.
And so we “learn” that “every authoritarian regime gets stronger with next elections” (would Kurski have the opportunity to write articles in one of the largest newspapers in Poland in an authoritarian regime?), so in October we will “last chance elections”, the position of the Confederation, which has a chance to become a coalition partner of PiS, becomes stronger (to make it funny, PiS and the Confederation are usually “married” by PO politicians and journalists from “Gazeta Wyborcza”) .
In the absence of one list, the opposition voters bet on the largest. There is a high risk that PSL and Hołownia will fall below the 8% threshold for a coalition. It will be a disaster for the entire camp of democracy, a repeat of 2015
says Kurski.
He further argues that one list guarantees the opposition’s freedom of choice, restores faith in victory, and moreover “demobilizes the electorate of power”. According to the journalist, PiS supporters are afraid to unite the opposition, they wish it badly, and therefore want it to become fragmented.
Why don’t those who want to defend democracy understand this? Where will it lead us by taking offense at the facts? Moreover, Democrats must go to the polls united
– the deputy editor-in-chief of “Gazeta Wyborcza” is feverish.
Jarosław Kurski only confirms what journalists said today in “Salon Dziennikarski” – the poll is a form of pressure on other opposition groups.
