A few days ago, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida visited Poland, which after returning from Kiev (Poland made it possible to travel from Przemyśl to Kiev and back) met with Prime Minister Morawiecki and President Duda.
After the meeting with Prime Minister Morawiecki, Prime Minister Kishida announced that given Poland’s growing burden in connection with Russian aggression against Ukraine, Japan has decided to treat our country in a special way and give us the so-called development aid.
Although Poland is not eligible for such aid due to its level of economic development, Japan, after learning about the size of the aid Poland provides to Ukraine, decided to support our country with special funds.
This should embarrass the President of the European Commission
This approach of the Japanese Prime Minister towards Poland should embarrass the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, who at the same time decides to even harass our country.
Let us not forget that the European Commission continues its efforts to work with the opposition to overthrow the United Right government, previously based on the “street and abroad” strategy, and now by participating on its side in the election campaign.
The EC constantly raises objections to the rule of law in Poland, based on the “information input” of the opposition in our country, and even applies various types of sanctions, which frankly seriously weaken us.
Such sanctions include the imposition of financial sanctions related to the Turów Mine and Power Plant, or the Supreme Court’s Disciplinary Chamber, as well as the political blocking of National Reconstruction Plan (KPO) funds.
Clearly political in nature
The sentences imposed on Poland in the two cases mentioned above are clearly political in nature, which is apparent not only from the way they were imposed (for example, in the case of Turów as a so-called security measure, imposed by a judge who immediately retired went after this decision), but also their height.
In the case of Turów, it was EUR 0.5 million per day, in the case of the Disciplinary Chamber even EUR 1 million per day, and these are punishments that have never been applied in the history of the EU in the first place, and second, they are wholly disproportionate to the objections raised against our country.
In the latter case, despite the liquidation of the Disciplinary Chamber in July of the previous year, the EC has not stopped imposing fines, although it has a free hand in this case from the ECJ. In addition, Poland has asked the EC to block them, which has been refused so far. There is no answer.
KPO Blockade
The issue of blocking the Polish KPO is also political in nature, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has expressed it several times in public statements without embarrassment.
It was she who came to Poland in June last year with a positive opinion from the European Commission on our KPO, and said that now nothing stands in the way of starting the procedures related to obtaining funds, but after returning to Brussels, threatened by Poland’s opponents in the European Parliament collected signatures under a motion to dismiss her, she abruptly changed her mind on the matter.
She was also the one who said she would be happy to welcome Donald Tusk to Brussels as Prime Minister of the Polish government in the fall of this year, and she was also convinced that by then the obstacles to transferring funds from the KPO to Poland would be lifted. to disappear.
The EC continues to bully
In a situation where the entire civilized world considers Poland an important country to support Ukraine, but also to build security on the eastern flank of NATO, the European Commission unfortunately continues to harass our country.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden spoke about this and former US ambassador, Georgette Mosbacher, described the EU’s objections to the rule of law in Poland as absurd and regretted that the EU believes these lies and attributes them to Russian inspiration.
Now the Prime Minister of Japan decides to provide development aid to Poland, even though we are a developed country and the European Commission does not seem to notice all these decisions of the world economic powers.
Shouldn’t the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, finally be ashamed of the constant harassment of Poland?
