Of the parliamentary parties, we vote least often with the government, we are probably the most critical of what PiS does, said the head of the Confederation’s parliamentary branch, Krzysztof Bosak, when asked on Friday about the chances of a possible coalition between his faction and PiS after the elections. He added that he saw no such opportunity.
As Bosak emphasized on TVN24, his group’s aim is “to remove from power those people who abuse their power, waste public money, cause inflation, act against the raison d’être and the interests of the Poles, both in EU policies and in the policy towards Ukraine and Belarus”.
We have just caused a massacre by the government of Mateusz Morawiecki. At the same time, very intensive propaganda is being conducted with citizens’ money to brainwash people and convince them that PiS is a great benefactor. It isn’t and never has been
said the Confederate MP. He judged that in Poland “we have an increasing increase in the cost of living and these are things that are responsible for government policies and for EU policies, which the current government, contrary to what it says, supports.”
Bosak was asked whether the Confederation therefore sees itself in the government of the United Right and sees a chance for a coalition with PiS.
I don’t see that opportunity. Of the factions in the House of Representatives, we are the party that votes least often with the government. The left does it more often, PO does it more often, PSL does it more often. We are probably the most critical of what PiS has done in recent years
replied Bosak.
“I’m not a fan of such a deal.”
I’m not a fan of such a deal. (…) We are a serious formation whose support is currently growing, which has a chance to win several dozen parliamentary mandates, and while a single parliamentarian can sell his vote for some privileges, the entire political formation that wants to develop and represent as many Poles as possible must behave credibly
Bosak noted.
As he noted, “this credibility is verified in the results of the votes.”
The first vote, before the vote on the nomination of the government, will be a vote on the Marshal of the Sejm and what I can say is that after what PiS is doing in the Sejm, how it has turned this Parliament into a voting machine, we will certainly not support even the Marshal of the Sejm on the first ballot
Bosak said.
