German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said he plans to continue meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. He said this at the EU summit in Brussels, reports TASS.
“I have often met with the Russian president and will continue to meet,” the German politician said.
According to him, bilateral contacts between Moscow and Berlin should be maintained. Scholz noted that Germany intends to continue despite the “serious differences of opinion” discussed at such talks on the situation in Ukraine.
The last telephone conversation between Scholz and Putin took place on December 2, 2022, the Kremlin press service reported.
