In Ukraine, they propose to polish the deputies who voted in 2010 for the approval of the “Kharkov agreements” on the presence of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the Crimea. The corresponding bill was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada on March 23.
At the legislative level, the bill aims to prohibit persons exercising the powers of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputies of the Sixth and Seventh convocations from serving in state offices for 10 years.
“The Kharkiv Accords were ratified on April 27, 2010, and a package of “dictatorial laws” was adopted on January 16, 2014,” says the bill’s explanatory note.
The drafters believe that these parliamentarians are involved in a state crime for undermining Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial value and defense capability.
