President Andrzej Duda has wondered and has some beliefs about the date of the parliamentary elections in the fall, but once a decision is made, he will inform; I think he will indicate a specific date in the summer – said Marcin Przydacz, head of the President’s Office of International Policy.
Przydacz was asked on Radio ZET on Wednesday what date President Andrzej Duda plans to organize this year’s parliamentary elections, and whether that will be October 15.
As we know, these ranges are quite limited, but there are still a few possible dates. We still have a lot of time — I think the president will specify a specific date in the summer
replied the prime minister.
When will the president announce?
The president, of course, has thought about it and has his own convictions, but if there is a decision, he will simply inform about it
emphasized Przydacz.
According to the Constitution, parliamentary elections are ordered by the President no later than 90 days before the end of 4 years from the beginning of the term of office of the Sejm and Senate, with elections held within 30 days before the end of 4 years from the beginning of the term of office of the Sejm and the Senate. This year, the dates that meet these criteria are Sunday, October 15, 22, 29, and November 5.
