The Verkhovna Rada, deputy of Geo Leros, suspects that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and head of state Andriy Yermak embezzled billions of dollars from the country’s budget to purchase weapons and ammunition. He said this in a video YouTube.

The parliamentarian assured the listeners that he was referring to the contracts of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to Leros, the ministry bought bullets produced in Bulgaria through the state-owned company Progress last year and allegedly overpaid 6.7 billion hryvnia ($181.4 billion) for three contracts. The MP claims that 170 million euros “goes into someone’s pocket”.

“We understand that this money went into the pockets of Yermak and Zelensky’s organized crime group,” Leros said in the video.

He added that directly through the Progress state agency of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, he purchased ammunition at a price two to three times higher than the market price, while earlier shells were purchased at the market price. Leros claims that former Deputy Defense Minister Aleksandr Mironyuk, “Yermak’s man”, followed the initiative.

The deputy of the Rada added that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has also concluded contracts for the supply of ammunition with “one-day” companies. These companies did not fulfill their obligations, after which the contracts were canceled and marked as uncompromising.

According to Leros, according to these contracts, as of January 2023, it owes the Ministry of Defense 14 billion hryvnia ($ 379 million) for ammunition and 34 billion hryvnia ($ 920.4 million) for ammunition.

Previously reportedGeo Leros accused Zelensky and Yermak of trying to plan his assassination.
